love the place meals really good and a very happy place, central for travelling around south devon , staff and customers were really chatty and friendly. not far from beaches and plenty of things to do round about

6 friends on way to Cornwall for the weekend, from Wales. Very hungry landed on the doorstep at 8.56pm. And they said they could feed us, how grateful we where. The food was lovely all served together hot and tasty. The staff where fantastic. Thank you again girls. It was Thursday 27th June.

Stayed at the Ivybridge Hotel after being stranded nearby and the staff were brilliant, sorting out a taxi and even offering me a cup of tea whilst I waited (thanks Amanda)! Really really nice Full English, all part of a very reasonably priced B&B stay. Definitely recommend.

Really loved the food omelette amazing and bri and cranberry sandwich come with lovely salad and chips and omelette had chips and peas was very quite that suited us . all looked clean and loved flowers on table

 

Greedy Squid

Went in with my friend Sophie after a hard days caving locally. I don’t eat chicken so asked for the chicken and rib combo without the chicken! I was offered a double portion of ribs for a little bit extra, but i turned it down…… Luckily, as the portion that came was huge!! Really tasty melt in your mouth ribs in a lovely dressing. Really nice, tasty pub grub! When i had to get a doggy bag for the ribs, the chef came out and advised on how to reheat them properly, which was a nice touch. Nice food and good service, will be coming back soon!! Thanks 🙂

This was a really good bight out. For adults only with a broad sense of humour ans not easily offended. !!
The tickets were £25.00 per head and included a free meal. The meal was basic pie and mash but was excellent and came out on time.
The atmosphere was really friendly, everyone enjoyed the compere and the two comedians.
All in all–highly recommended for singles and couples and workgroups.
Don’t miss the next one–
Venue great with ample parking, you could stay in the hotel and they serve amazing food so we will definitely be attending the next one.
This is a nice place for a meal too so try it. Even the wine list is actually pretty good

Ordered the garlic mushrooms and a cheeseburger, which turned out to be a delicious monster burger. The serving staff are engaging and interested in you. Perfect for a spot of lunch and TLC. Thank you Sportsmans team, sterling service

Great Value Nosh!

"Have eaten here more times than I can remember, and apart from one time we have always had good food. This occasion was no different.
The chef suggested I might like to try the steak and ale pie and I was glad I did.
It was huge, yes he was "looking after" us , but it was one of the best pies I've ever had."

Bring A Big Appetite

"A large group of friends had lunch in the restaurant. We all had very good meals with very friendly helpful staff. We had selected from the menu when we booked and we were all pleased with our choices. The portions of both starters and mains were very generous as were the deserts several of which were shared. All the dishes were well cooked and very tasty. We will be back I am sure."
